From Santiago it is also easy to get to all the other main cities in the region, be it by train, bus, or in your own vehicle.

Santiago Cathedral is a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. The final stop for pilgrims travelling from all over the world, it rises from the very heart of the city and is surrounded by an old town of great cultural, artistic and architectural value.
Santiago is the place to be if you want to discover Galicia's regional food specialities. The bustling streets of the old town are ideal for enjoying seafood dishes, and at weekends many locals choose to come here to have some tapas and wine.
A Coruña, Vigo, Ourense and Lugo are all about an hour from Santiago by car. Has the largest airport in Galicia. And if what you're looking for is sea, sand and sun, half an hour on the AG-56 motorway will bring you to the coast at the Ria of Muros and Noia.
